For most of the century Eureka Tiles™ has played an important role in the development of ceramic tiles in Australia.

|
Eureka's story began in 1910 when two enterprising Ballarat architects began a Company which they called the Eureka Terracotta & Tile Company. It was their intention to produce clay roof tiles, chimney pots and fancy finials to compete with imports from England and France. They found a ready market for their locally made products and within a few brief years the Company had become a thriving operation.
Australian owned. Today Eureka Tiles is 100% Australian owned and remains committed to the highest standards of manufacture and product innovation. This can be seen not only in an extensive range of quality tiles and ceramic bathroom fittings, but major investment in high technology equipment too. |

The Company remains on the original site at Ballarat, a short distance from the famous Eureka Stockade which inspired its name. Using energy and production efficient equipment such as the latest fast-fire roller hearth kiln, the Company is able to respond quickly to meet specific market needs. Research and development is ongoing and involves working closely with archiects, designers and tile retailers.
Into the new Millennium Eureka Tiles is an energetic and imaginative organisation whose extensive range of ceramic floor tiles and bathroom fittings has excellence as its strong underlying theme. |
